Who we are
Silene Women’s Empowerment and Charitable Organization was founded in 2009 EC/17 GC and legally registered on Nehase 26, 2012 EC (September 1, 2020, GC). Silene was named after the idea that change or progress begins with oneself before it affects others. The notion of changing someone else arises when we change ourselves. We believe that there are women with incredible potential who could make a positive change in their society. Silene mainly works to raise awareness about the potential of women and the importance of their role in the development process.
Why Silene?
When we think of women’s Empowerment and achievement, the usual way to go about it is the standard for strength and success is a man and to convince women to believe they are as strong as men. They can do everything a man can, which is how you are empowered and succeed.

We at Silene believe women should be empowered without competition or comparison with men.
Equality is about equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender. Women should know their unique creations, qualities, and abilities, access opportunities, and resources available to them, and stand on their own feet.
Helping women be their best is what Empowerment is all about. Empowered women will contribute to society positively and inspire and motivate those around them. And collaborate with men with the understanding of how our difference complement one another.
What is women's empowerment, according to Silene?
Women have suffered enormous pain and punishment from others for centuries. Promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. Become independent and self-reliant. And to change the mindset that women are dependent and capable of doing nothing without men. Women must be empowered in all fields like politics, spirituality, economics, education, employment, health, and lifestyle.
Women’s Empowerment means informing the people and society about the importance of women in our society and community and the causes and impacts when women are not empowered.
